Joseph Co-Cathedral in Thibodaux for Anita Boudreaux Talbot, 97, a native of Labadieville and resident of Thibodaux, who died at 11 p.m. July 8, 2001, at St Anthony's Nursing Home in Metairie. Visitation was held until funeral time at the church. Burial took place at St. Philomena Cemetery in Labadieville.

She was the mother of Alden P. Talbot of Metairie; mother-in-law of Millie Faye Wolfe Talbot; and grandmother of Don Talbot of Houston. Gwen Keller of Montz and Jeffrey Talbot of New Orleans. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oldon E.

Francis David Overton. He was a graduate of Southwestern Louisiana Institute, now University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and of LSU Law School. He as a veteran of World War II and was a former teacher. He was a former attorney and district attorney for the 20th Judicial District Court in and for East and West Feliciana parishes. He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, 4th Degree.
