DAY Pastor Arthur Hughs and First BC of Humpfrey, AR will be guest church Sunday, July 19, at 10 a.m., for Family and Friend Day. Evangelist Arnold R. LEPROSY Jeanerette Museum will present Out of the Shadow, a talk on leprosy in Louisiana and one history, led by local author Claire Manes at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26. FRANKLIN HS Orientation July 27 and 28. Uni- forms must be worn by all students. There will be a $10 registration fee for lockers and IDs. Schedule is as follows: July 27: 10th graders, 9 a.m.; 11th graders, 10 a.m.; and 12th graders at 11 a.m. On July 28, 9th graders at 9 a.m.

Parents are strongly encouraged to attend to get information concerning new state guidelines for 9th graders. CHRISTMAS Parade and Lamplighting Ceremony Saturday, Dec. line up for parade begins at 5 p.m., on Jackson St. and the parade will begin at 6 p.m. on the corner of Jackson and Main streets.

Lamplighting ceremony begins immediately after at the Courthouse Square. Deadline to be a part of the parade (walkers and golf carts) is Nov. 13, at noon. LANDRY Gerald J. Landry, 80, of Bernard Avenue, Greeneville, TN, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at Laughlin Memorial Hospital. He was a plumber and electrician.

Mr. Landry was a member of Greenelawn Baptist Church. He served two years in the U. S. Army at Ft.

Bliss, TX. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Glenda Landry; four sons and daughters-in- law, James and Karen Landry; Samuel and Sara Landry; Steven and Sherry Landry; and Lynn and Freida Landry; grandchildren, Kaitlynn Landry, Devin Landry and Seth Landry; two step grandchildren, Jenna Mays and Matt Mays; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Dorothy and Gerald Braud, Nell Hopkins; brother and sister-in-law, Harry and Leila Landry; and several nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Dauvall and Myrtle Landry and was preceded in death by three sisters, Marion King, Elizabeth Jackson and Vickie Parr; and a brother, Roy Landry. The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Sunday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m.

Monday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Blaine Shoun officiating. Interment will follow in the Andrew Johnson National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his family and friends.
