Twenty-seven members were in attendance. The club had three graduates who reached their goals and became KOPS: Audrie Jones, chapter queen; Jane Gaudet, runner-up queen; Jordan Jones. Jones also received an award for being a state teen division winner. The club placed third for the costume contest and fth for membership growth. Three of the KOPS (Keeping Off Pounds Sensibly) received longevities awards for maintaining their goal weight: Anna Smith, 15 years; Clara Leonard, 15 years and Betty Boudreaux, 5 years.

It was a very inspiring weekend. If you want to lose weight in a healthy way, attend the meetings on Thursday evenings at 6 p.m. in the American Legion Hall, in Pierre Part. The rst meeting is free. Robert Robin Bergeron, of Napoleonville, LA, announce the engagement and forth-coming marriage of their daughter, Brooke Bergeron, to Drake Hebert, son of Michael Emma Hebert, of Pierre Part, LA.

The couple will exchange vows at the Assumption Parish Community Center April 12, 2014. The future bride is the granddaughter of Dorothy Naquin the late Clifton Naquin, Sr. of Napoleonville, LA, and the late Mr. Mrs. Robert Bergeron, of Plattenville, LA.

The prospective groom is the grandson Vivian Hebert the late Wilton of Pierre Part, and the late Mr. Mrs. Albert (T-bert) Metrejean, Sr. of Pierre Part. The bride is a 2010 graduate of Assumption High School and is currently employed by the Assumption Parish Sheriff's ce.

The groom is also a 2011 graduate of Assumption High School and is currently employed by Performance Contractors, Inc..
